Since 2011, Claudio Urra has played a pivotal role in shaping the tennis program at Arlington Players Club, helping members refine their skills on our historic red clay courts.

A Chilean tennis coach with ITF and PTR certifications, Claudio has been coaching since 2003, bringing over 20 years of experience to the court. His competitive background includes playing in Futures and ITF tournaments, making him an ideal mentor for high-performance players. He currently coaches elite junior athletes transitioning to collegiate competition, focusing not just on technique but also on the mental and strategic aspects of the game.

Claudio views tennis as more than just a sport—it’s a lifelong lesson in discipline, resilience, and mental strength. His coaching philosophy emphasizes dedication, strategic thinking, and emotional endurance, skills that benefit players both on and off the court. Now a father, he is introducing his two- and four-year-old children to the game, drawing on his decades of experience to make tennis engaging and enjoyable from an early age. His passion for the sport and commitment to player development continues to elevate APC Tennis Club as a premier destination for red clay court tennis in North Jersey.
